The Global Policy Perspectives Symposia Series
In 2008-09, IPC initiated the Global Policy Perspectives Symposia (GPPS) series. Each symposium brings together one or two distinguished visitors and one or two Michigan faculty for an hour and a half discussion of current important issues of international policy. The model departs from the traditional seminar approach by combining and confronting external and local expertise for a discussion that is intended for a broader audience (including the Ann Arbor community). The International Policy Students Association (IPSA) and Emerging Market Club student organizations co-sponsor the symposia and furnish student chairs and moderators for the events.
