International Economic Development Program
The International Economic Development Program (IEDP) is a unique, interdisciplinary approach to studying social and economic development–focusing on one developing economy. IEDP participants engage in a seven-week, two-credit course extensively studying the chosen country, and then travel to that country over spring break. During the trip, students conduct interviews and discussions with policymakers, members of civil society, foreign development agencies, and university students. Following this intense in-country experience, students write a comprehensive country report and present their findings to the larger IEDP group for discussion and review.
