The focus is on the most recent evolution of unemployment and its constituting elements: flows into and out of unemployment. A shorter version was prepared as a November 2009 Societal Brief for Jose Manuel Barroso, Chairman of the European Commission. This longer version is issued as a joint policy brief with IDEA of CERGE-EI in Prague.
