Aid & Development Series
Building practical skills for future international development careers
Aid & Development is a workshop series that enables Ford School students to build practical skills for future international development careers. Organized by the International Policy Center (IPC) and led by international development practitioners and Ford School faculty, workshop sessions typically take place each Fall term.
Grant proposal writing will be the focus for the Fall 2025 series. During Fall’s four workshops, students will engage in simulated narrative and budget drafting activities. Workshop skills-building will be relevant for students interested in pursuing careers in international development or international program management, more broadly. After attending all four sessions, students will receive a certificate of completion, confirming their participation in the Fall series.
The Aid and Development series focuses on building key, marketable skills for future international development practitioners, and supports students on their journey to become successful, thoughtful, and ethically-guided professionals."

Note: The Aid & Development series is not a Rackham Graduate School certificate program. Students may not seek academic credit for their workshop participation.
