Throughout the academic year, IPC hosts seminars on pressing global phenomena. IPC also co-sponsors other on-campus research seminars, particularly those addressing issues related to global security, development, health, and cooperation.

Previous Seminar Series

  • IPRS was a multi-disciplinary speaker series that showcased research-in-progress on international phenomena presented by invited (external) faculty guests. The 2023 - 24 series theme was “Constructing and Destructing Global Orders.”

    Previous IPRS sessions

    The Ford Security Seminar was an interdisciplinary seminar series hosted by IPC that brought together Ford School and University of Michigan faculty, doctoral students, and outside scholars to discuss key developments in the theory and practice of international security, broadly defined. Participants presented original research on topics including defense affairs, diplomacy, human security, international institutions, human rights, and foreign policy analysis.

    The NAC was a forum that strengthened a wider North American conversation and more fruitful trilateral cooperation between Canada, Mexico and the U.S., featuring experts from the Autonomous National University of Mexico, University of Toronto, and University of Michigan.
